ABOUT US

Our mission is an exploration of the power of story that deepens a sense of connection with ourselves and the world, ultimately applying meaningful discoveries that drive us to deliver compelling performances

ON RACISM & SOCIAL JUSTICE

At Character Physics, we believe the most powerful stories and moments of connection occur when we create space for all voices, abilities, and backgrounds. These are the values on which we have founded our organization and that will drive our plans for future growth and development.

While we are unable to physically come together, we recognize that, when we do, we will be gathering on unceded Kumeyaay land. Whether on Zoom or in person, we strive to break down barriers and to bring together diverse communities at all levels of our organization.

From choosing projects, to building creative and production teams, to developing community partnerships, we are committed to amplifying BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) voices and to seeking out opportunities to serve and collaborate with artists and audiences who have been traditionally underrepresented in the American Theater scene.

We look forward to learning from and growing with our community, and we hope you will join us as we explore these ever-evolving artistic opportunities.
